Collecting Clips
What it can do
When you copy something in any application, BriefClips works in the background; it collects what you copy and adds it as a Clip to a collection known as a Clipbook. Clips can be renamed. Clipbooks can be saved with all its Clips.
What you can do
The handy toolbars have button to make many tasks easy to use.
Click on the New button to start a new Clipbook. Click on the Open button to select a saved Clipbook to open. Click on the Save button to save a Clipbook for future use.
How you can use it
Whether you are working on a programming assignment or research paper or simply browsing the Web, you often find that you need to save some bits and pieces for future use. Maybe your work involves filling online forms and you use some text all the time. BriefClips makes these tasks easier by providing a central place to collect, organize, save, and re-use Clips.

Screen Capture
What it can do
BriefClips can capture any portion of your screen. The image is automatically copied to the clipboard and added as a Clip.
Image Clips can be saved in 5 graphic formats, so you have a good tool to collect screenshots you need.
What you can do
Simply click on the Screenshot button and the entire screen area turns semi-transparent light blue. Select any area of the screen with your mouse and that area is copied and captured.
The resulting picture Clip can be saved, emailed, or simply pasted into a document.
How you can use it
Many office jobs, many creative jobs, many school assignments call for the use of pictures. Presentations, assignments, design documents - we often need to capture something on the screen to illustrate our point. BriefClips makes it easy to capture any portion of the screen and produce graphic files in many popular formats. Plus, if saved in a Clipbook, those pictures are available for future projects.

Share Clips via Email
What it can do
BriefClips has a built-in emailer. You can send any clip to any email address. That makes sharing simple and fast.
Copy what you like, select "Send as email" from the Clip menu and type in the email address. BriefClips even allows you to type a message to accompany the Clip you are sending. Now click Send and the Clip with your message is on its way!
This feature requires that you have an email account somewhere that allows SMTP access.
What you can do
Share pictures, document snippets, code samples - anything you clip.
You can send any Clip to yourself, your friends or collegues right from BriefClips in 4 easy steps. Clip something, select Send as email from the Clip menu, type in an email address and (optionally) a message, and click Send. It's that simple.
How you can use it
Being able to send an email directly from BriefClips saves you time and makes it very convenient to share any clip. You can send a screenshot to your manager or technical support; send a code example; an interesting article.
Drag-and-Drop is yet another way to add Clips, and BriefClips supports it.
